Last day to withdraw from office is Monday May 13th
Special 3-day filing – if no one files for a position during filing week, Skagit County will hold a special 3-day filing period.

There are three ways you can file:
Online Candidate Filing will open at 8 am May 6 and close May 10 at 5 pm
- Submit your filing before 5 p.m. Friday. No submissions will be accepted after 5 p.m.
- Mobile devices are not recommended.
- You can use a credit card to pay your filing fee.
- You must pay the filing fee before the filing office can process your submission.
- Please allow 24-48 hours for candidacy approval. You will receive a confirmation email at the candidate email address.
Mail
Candidates who will be out of the area during the filing period can file by mail beginning Monday May 1, 2023 and ending at 4:30 pm on the last day of the regular filing period. Filings received through the mail before or after the prescribed time, regardless of postmark, are invalid and will be returned.

All candidates receive auto generated filing confirmation emails.
