Commissioner Lisa Janicki was first elected to the Board of Commissioners in 2014. Prior to election, Janicki worked 30+ years as the Chief Financial Officer for multiple family businesses which included companies ranging from forestry, land development, engineering, and composite aerospace manufacturing. Commissioner Janicki brings a small business perspective to local government.

Currently, Commissioner Janicki serves on the Washington State Association of Counties (WSAC) Legislative Steering Committee, Timber County Caucus, and Board of Directors as Vice President. She is on the executive committee for the County Road Association Board (CRAB) to support county transportation projects across the state. She is also one of Washington’s representatives to the National Association of Counties (NACo) Public Lands Committee. Most recently, Janicki was elected to the Board of Natural Resources to represent the 21 timber counties in the State of Washington.

Commissioner Janicki has served on numerous community boards including the United Way of Skagit County, Soroptimists International of Sedro-Woolley, the Economic Development Alliance of Skagit County (EDASC) and Gonzaga University’s Board of Regents. She is also a past president of Skagit Women in Business, has twice served as EDASC Board President and is a 2005 graduate of Leadership Skagit.

Commissioner Janicki and her husband Mike have been married for 41 years, live in Sedro-Woolley, and have been blessed with five children and nine grandchildren.
