Register
The cash register was the main feature of the general store. This
is where the money was kept and the day's sales recorded. This cash
register has a series of buttons on the left that go from A to H.
A department in the store was assigned to each letter. The buttons
on the right are for the prices. When the items were "rung up,"
the drawer would open.
