Skagit County Commissioners sign emergency resolution for severe winter storm events

SKAGIT COUNTY – The Skagit County Board of Commissioners signed an emergency resolution today declaring that an emergency exists beginning Wednesday, January 7, 2009, beginning at 3:00 a.m. The resolution authorizes the expenditure of funds as required to meet the emergency caused by severe winter storm events resulting in unusually heave snowfall and now heavy rain causing local rivers and small steams to rise.
