Skagit County Department of Emergency Management requests assessments for damage for private property damaged by flood, snow and landslides

Tight deadline requires prompt response to state

SKAGIT COUNTY - The Skagit County Emergency Management is requesting assessments for damage of private property, including land, businesses, homes and other personal property damaged by flood or landslide. The information has been requested by the State of Washington and must be submitted by January 16, 2009.

“We need this information as soon as possible and urge citizens to call our office for assistance,” said Mark Watkinson, Skagit County Department of Emergency Management.

Following a flood of this magnitude, it is important to have approximate damage assessments as soon as possible to report the extent of damage to the Governor’s office.

Skagit County has a DAMAGE REPORT HOTLINE at 360-428-3260 available from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday next week, January 12-15, 2009.
