Welcome to Skagit County
February 1st, 2011
The Lincoln Theatres presents Honey, I Shrunk the Lots, February 15, 6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.
SKAGIT COUNTY
- On Tuesday, February 15, noted Seattle architect, Bill Kreager, will present
Honey, I Shrunk the Lots at the Historic Lincoln Theatre. Kreager, FAIA, will
provide an engaging presentation demonstrating how innovative site planning
and high-quality small-lot development can contribute to livable and sustainable
communities.
Kreager first performed Honey, I Shrunk the Lots for Skagit Valley in 2005.
The presentation, to a large crowd, was highly acclaimed. His upcoming presentation
is updated and will include examples from Skagit communities.
A local panel will also follow Kreager's presentation, identifying opportunities
and obstacles for "shrinking the lots" in Skagit communities:
-
Jan Ellingson, Better Homes and Garden Real Estate (moderator)
-
Brian Gentry, Landed Gentry Development
-
John Doyle, Town of LaConner
-
Ellen Gray, Washington Sustainable Food & Farming Network
A reception
will follow from approximately 8:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. During this time, audience
members may ask the presenters questions, talk with one another, and share
their thoughts with Envision Skagit citizen committee members and staff.
This event is free and open to the public. No ticket is required; seating
is on a first-come, first-served basis.
