Skagit County Commissioners Vote To Rescind Fluoride Resolution

SKAGIT COUNTY – The Skagit County Board of Commissioners acting as the Board of Health, voted to rescind Resolution No. R220770284 passed by the Board on May 15, 2007, ordering Skagit County PUD No. 1 (PUD) to provide for optimally fluoridated water in a portion of the PUD water supply.

The order, now rescinded, was contingent on PUD reaching a satisfactory funding agreement with a private third party funding source. The Commissioners voted 2-1 to rescind the resolution with Commissioners Sharon Dillon and Ron Wesen voting in favor and Commissioner Ken Dahstedt voting in opposition.
