Miller Resigns as Skagit County Public Works Director
SKAGIT COUNTY – Skagit County interim Public Works Director Jeff Miller submitted his resignation today effective March 13, 2009 to accept a position with Naval Air Station Whidbey Island.
“I am going to have an opportunity to continue my service in the Navy and have an opportunity to combine both my Naval Reserve and professional careers,” said Miller.
Miller was hired as Assistant Public Works Director and County Engineer in 2007. “I was fortunate to have begun my professional career as an intern with Skagit County,” said Miller. “I learned from the best in the business and was able to return to the County in a leadership position. I want to thank the Board of County Commissioners for the trust they place in me and want to thank all the dedicated and professional Public Works employees.”
