History of Snowboarding in the PNW

Topic of Presentation at County Museum

DID YOU KNOW THAT some of the biggest names in the history of snowboarding were from Mount Vernon? Learn all about the origins and growth of this enormously popular winter sport on Sunday, February 28 at 2 pm at the Skagit County Historical Museum with Nicole Evans, Special Events Coordinator for the Mount Baker Ski Area. This Skagit Topics Presentation “A History of Snowboarding in the Pacific Northwest” is scheduled in conjunction with the featured exhibit “The Way We Played: Early Skagit Recreation” and is included with museum admission.
