Cheese
Making Class In Spanish And English On April 18
Queso fresco is a delicious soft cheese that has been made for generations.
Traditionally, queso fresco is made using fresh (raw) dairy milk that has
not been heat-treated or pasteurized. Unfortunately, this can cause serious
illness.
Learn the safe way to make this cheese at the FREE "Fresh Cheese Made
Safely" class in Mount Vernon on Monday, April 18 from 5:30 PM to 7:30
PM at the Skagit County Community Action Agency (320 Pacific Place). Watch
as the cheese is being made, learn the secrets to making it a success, and
taste the final product.
The class will be presented by Washington State University Skagit County Extension
and will be taught in English and Spanish. To register call 428-4270 ext.
0. For Spanish, call 428-4270 ext. 230.
