Earth Day Celebration at NSRA

Skagit Fisheries Enhancement Group (SFEG) and Skagit County Parks and Recreation, and Starbucks invite you to join us for an Earth Day Celebration and work party 10am-1pm on Saturday, April 23 at the Northern State Recreation Area. Projects will include native tree planting and trail maintenance along Hansen Creek. Hansen Creek is home to four of the five species of Pacific salmon, and habitat restoration work has been ongoing there for over a decade. Community members are encouraged to join in this latest effort in recognition of Earth Day 2011.

Volunteers should dress for the weather, bring KNEE BOOTS and GLOVES. Snacks and porta potties will be provided. Please consider carpooling. Please arrive by 10:00 for orientation. Register at 360-336-0172 or ldegrace@skagitfisheries.org

Directions to Northern State Recreation Area, 25625 Helmick Road, Sedro Woolley:
Take Hwy 20 to Sedro Woolley; turn north onto Helmick Road and follow signs for parking on the left.
