Susan Pole completes Mediator Certification through Mediation & Facilitation Services
SKAGIT COUNTY – Susan Pole has joined the pool of 16 certified mediators providing pro bono service for the Dispute Resolution Center of Skagit County.
Susan attended the 40-hour Professional Mediation Training in November 2007. In Susan’s words, “The training I’ve had in just the first 40 hours through Skagit County Mediation & Facilitation Services shows me a whole new perspective on listening and problem solving. Mediation will enhance what I do professionally and provide a rewarding volunteer opportunity.”
Upon completion of her training Susan applied for and was accepted into Mediation Services intensive practicum program. Over the past year she has committed many hours observing mediation sessions, co-mediating with experienced mediators and finally passing the professional standards exam for certification.
Susan has 19 years of public service experience and has been the Workfirst Program Specialist for DSHS since 1998.
