NWSU Know and Grow Workshop:
Drip Irrigation for the Home Gardener
WSU Skagit County
Extension Master Gardeners in partnership with WSU - Mount Vernon NWREC present
a Know & Grow workshop, Drip Irrigation for the Home Gardener, on Tuesday,
May 26, 1:00 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. at WSU Mount Vernon NWREC, 16650 State Route 536
(Memorial Highway). Trickle irrigation uses less water than sprinkling, and
it reduces weeds and plant diseases. Jeff Thompson, an expert on the benefits
of low volume watering, will review the various types (soaker hose, emitter
systems), then get right to the specifics: designing your system, what and where
to purchase supplies, and a hands-on demonstration of assembly. This is drip
irrigation demystified! Come early for limited seating. Free-will donation suggested.
