County Transfer Station closed on Memorial Day, May 25, 2009

SKAGIT COUNTY – The Skagit County Board of Commissioners signed a resolution today establishing a furlough closure of the Skagit County Transfer and Recycling Station on Memorial Day, Monday, May 25, 2009 and Veteran’s Day, Wednesday, November 11, 2009.

These closures are part of a county-wide effort to trim budget costs to avoid employee layoffs due to revenue shortfalls.

The Skagit County Sauk Transfer Station and Clear Lake Compactor Site will be closed on Friday, May 22, 2009, as designated as a County Furlough Day in Resolution No. R20090177 signed by the Board of Commissioners on April 14, 2009.
