I-5 ramp lanes, SR 538 lane to close for widening work in Mount Vernon

MOUNT VERNON – Crews with the city of Mount Vernon will close lanes on I-5 off-ramps at exit 227 and one lane of SR 538 (College Way) to begin roadway widening work.

One lane on the northbound and southbound I-5 off-ramps at exit 227 and one eastbound lane of College Way will be closed from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. Wednesday and Thursday nights, May 20 and 21. Crews will install new curbing, gutter and sidewalks during the closures.

One lane of SR 538, and one lane and the shoulder on each of the off-ramps will remain open, but drivers should expect delays.
