Crews to repave I-5, Cook Road overpass in Burlington
BURLINGTON Crews will repave the Interstate 5, Cook Road overpass in Burlington next week. The road surface is badly worn and cracked. The new asphalt will make the overpass smoother and safer for drivers and reduce the need for routine maintenance.
The overpass, including both the north- and southbound on- and off-ramps, will be closed from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. June 9, 10 and 11.
Drivers will be detoured around the closure by the Chuckanut Drive (exit 231) and Bow Hill Road (exit 236) interchanges.
WSDOT recently awarded the $89,000 project to Lakeside Industries Inc. of Monroe.
