SR 20 spur and Commercial Avenue intersection to close for 30 days

ANACORTES – Drivers who use the SR 20/Commercial Avenue intersection in Anacortes will be using an alternate route beginning at 6:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 24.

SRV Construction, working for the City of Anacortes, will close the intersection for 30 days to expedite the completion of the Commercial Avenue roundabout project.

The closure is scheduled to begin on June 24 and will reopen in late July.

Signs will advise drivers that all local businesses will remain open during construction.

A well-marked detour route will direct traffic around the intersection using R Avenue and 32nd Street. Crews have installed a temporary signal at the intersection of R Avenue and 32nd Street to help the flow of traffic during construction.
