I-5/SR 11 interchange closures for roundabout construction July 11-July 29
SKAGIT COUNTY - The Chuckanut overpass and I-5 ramps will be closed for extended periods of time from July 11 to July 29.
The Washington State Department of Transportation is rebuilding the I-5/SR 11 on- and off-ramps in order to build new roundabouts at the Josh Wilson and Old Highway 99 intersections. These changes will reduce the probability and severity of collisions that occur at these interchanges. Signs will be posted to help drivers around the closures. Drivers will primarily be rerouted via the Cook Road interchange to the north.
Closures
July 11-18: A short stretch of Chuckanut Drive on the west side of the overpass,
between Josh Wilson Road and the entrance to the State Patrol building, will
be closed. Access to and from Josh Wilson Road will also be closed. All I-5
ramps will remain open.
July 18-29: The previous closures will continue while the southbound I-5 on- and off-ramps will also be closed.
