WSU Know and Grow Workshop:
Extending the Growing Season in Your Home Garden
WSU Skagit County Extension Master Gardeners in partnership with WSU - Mount Vernon NWREC present a Know & Grow workshop, Extending the Growing Season in Your Home Garden, on Tuesday, August 18, 1:00 p.m. - 2:30 p.m. at WSU Mount Vernon NWREC, 16650 State Route 536 (Memorial Highway). Local organic farmer, Glen Johnson, owner of Mother Flight Farms, will share tips on making the most of our growing season. You will learn how to extend the season, both earlier and later, for maximum harvest using a variety of methods. Come early for limited seating. Other Know & Grow Workshops planned for this fall include Buried Treasures: The Lesser Known Bulbs, Insects of Skagit County, and Pruning Dormant Fruit Trees.
