Skagit County's Trisha Logue earns Professional Finance Officer Award
SKAGIT COUNTY - The Washington
Finance Officers Association (WFOA) awarded Skagit County Budget and Finance
Director Trisha Logue the Professional Finance Officer Award for the State of
Washington for the sixth year in a row.
This is an annual award that requires continuing professional and educational
excellence.
Professional Finance Officers apply to WFOA's Professional Finance Officer Recognition
program each year and earn points for membership, continuing education, participating
in finance groups and organizations, writing professionally published articles,
and leading academic activities. Logue receives points for attending the annual
WFOA conference, taking classes, and for the number of times she has received
this award. Her industry-specific training courses ensure she stays current
on accounting topics and software.
"Trisha's done a very good job, and we really appreciate all the knowledge
she brings back to help us and the citizens of Skagit County understand and
work with our budget process," said Skagit County Commissioner Ron Wesen.
Logue started working for Skagit County in the Public Works Department in 1994
and was promoted to the Budget & Finance Office in 2004.
"Ms. Logue is an asset to Skagit County, is very highly respected by other
finance directors, and well-deserving of this award," said Skagit County
Commissioner Sharon Dillon.
