Community Meeting to discuss Lower Skagit Basin groundwater and surface water study scheduled October 6, 7:00pm-8:30pm

SKAGIT COUNTY - The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), Washington Department of Ecology, and Skagit County will present the results of a recently completed groundwater and surface water study of the Lower Skagit Basin. They will also discuss how this new information will be used to manage water resources in this area.

The community meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, October 6, from 7:00pm to 8:30pm in the Skagit County Commissioners Hearing Room, located at 1800 Continental Place in Mount Vernon. Staff from all three agencies will be available to answer questions from the public. A meeting of the Skagit River Basin Water Resources Advisory Committee (WRAC) will be held prior to the USGS study presentation from 5:30pm to 6:30pm in the Skagit Conference Room located in the same building.
