SKAGIT RIVER IS UNDER
FLOOD WARNING
SKAGIT COUNTY - The Skagit River appears to have crested at Concrete. The river rose to a high of 31.22 feet at 11:30 Sunday night. The Skagit River at Mount Vernon and the Samish River continue to rise. The predicted crest for the Skagit River at Mount Vernon is 29.00 feet, Monday morning at 10:00 o'clock. The Samish River was at 11.3 feet at Midnight. Flood Stage on the Skagit River is 28 feet at Concrete and Mount Vernon. Skagit County Emergency Operations Center is activated and will be manned through the duration of the event. In addition, County field personnel will remain in the field overnight monitoring the Skagit and Samish rivers and tributaries.

Road Closures
- Cabin Creek Road from
highway 20 to Lyman Hamilton Highway
- Lyman-Hamilton Highway
from West end of Cockreham Island Road to East end of Hamilton city limits
- Swan road from Mud Lake
Road to Nookachamps Bridge
- Sam Bell Road from Pulver
Road to Chuckanut Dr. is closed.
- Martin Road at Highway
536 is closed
- Roads in the Cape Horn
area are now closed.
- Cascade River Road -
Closed at milepost 6 due to slide.
- The intersection of Colony Road and Colony Mountain Drive remains closed.
We advise the public to
avoid driving through standing water on roadways, and obey any
"closed roads" signs.
