COUNTY SEEKS MEMBERS TO ESTABLISH PUBLIC OUTREACH AND CITIZENS ADVISORY COMMITTEE FOR CRITICAL AREAS

SKAGIT COUNTY - Skagit County is again seeking to establish a Public Outreach and Citizens Advisory Committee (CAC) to review proposed County Comprehensive Plan policies and associated development regulations pertaining to Critical Areas. The Committee would serve in an advisory role to the Planning Commission and Board of County Commissioners to complete a mandatory update of the County’s Critical Areas Ordinance SCC14.24 and best available science review.

Skagit County is seeking citizens to participate on the committee who represent a wide variety of interests with specific knowledge and experience in growth management, land use issues, critical areas, best available science and/or other related subjects. Interested citizens should submit a letter of interest along with a statement of qualifications by 4:30 p.m. on February 2, 2006 to:
