SKAGIT COUNTY RECEIVES $75,000 GRANT FOR AQUATIC VEGETATION MANAGEMENT FOR CLEAR AND BEAVER LAKES SKAGIT COUNTY The Skagit County Public Works Department was notified today of the award of a $75,000 grant from the Washington State Department of Ecology (DOE) to implement an Integrated Aquatic Vegetation Management Plan for Clear and Beaver Lakes. Skagit County staff was informed that their application was the top rated lake management project request received by DOE this year. We are very pleased to receive this grant, said Water Resources Technician Michael See. The Clear and Beaver Lakes Advisory Committee has been very involved this past year in working toward the formation of a lake district. The funds will be used to control or eradicate problematic weeds such as Eurasian milfoil, White water-lily, and Brazilian elodea. For further information,
