MOUNT VERNON PRINCIPALS SPONSOR PANDEMIC FLU PRESENTATION

SKAGIT COUNTY – The Mount Vernon School District Principals will sponsor a Pandemic Flu Presentation at the Mount Vernon High School Cafeteria at 6:00 p.m. on January 29, 2007. The featured speaker will be Skagit County Public Health Nurse Donna Smith. She will speak on the following topics:

Pandemic Flu (Influenza) Preparation
Protecting Your Family
Is it a cold or the flu?
What you need to do at home
Why you should prepare
Will it really happen, or is this another government scare?

Smith has worked as a paramedic, and critical care and emergency nurse. She was recently appointed director of Skagit County’s recently registered Medical Reserve Corps. Her task is to help prepare the Skagit County Health Department, public, businesses and industry for all disasters.
