SKAGIT COUNTY PARKS SEEKS TO HELP CLEAN-UP FLOOD DAMAGE AT HOWARD MILLER STEELHEAD PARK.

SKAGIT COUNTY – Skagit County Parks and Recreation is seeking volunteer assistance on February 21, 2004 to help clean-up damage at Howard Miller Steelhead Park caused by the October 2003 flood. Volunteers will meet at the Howard Miller office in Rockport at 10am and work until 1pm.

Volunteers will assist in cleaning flower beds, painting, and general clean-up duties. Please bring work gloves and dress for the weather.

Directions: From I-5, follow Highway 20 East to Concrete. From Concrete continue east approximately 8 miles to Rockport, WA. Turn right off of Highway 20 on Alfred Street and follow down hill to the park entrance.
