COLLINGS IS NEW MANAGER FOR SKAGIT COUNTY FAIR

SKAGIT COUNTY – Leslie Collings started work this week as the new manager of the Skagit County Fair, replacing Audrey Smith who retired last year. Before taking her new post, Collings served as sales manager for Courier Printing.

Collinghs grew up in an agriculture-rich community in Southern Idaho and was active in 4-H and rodeo. During the summers she worked in the fields burning ditches, irrigating and operating farm equipment as well as working on a cattle ranch feeding, caring for livestock, branding, and calving.

While attending college she worked as parts manager for an irrigation company.

Prior to moving to Washington State in 2003, she was employed in the agri-media division of Lee Enterprises, Inc., which published weekly, monthly, and quarterly publications about Idaho’s agriculture and livestock industries.

“I am thrilled to be the new fair manager for Skagit County and look forward to helping to continue the wonderful traditions created here at the fair,” said Collings. “If you have not been to the grounds lately I welcome you to schedule a visit as I would love to introduce you to our marvelous staff and show you the improvements that have been made to the facilities.”
