CONCRETE SCHOOL DISTRICT EDUCATIONAL AND OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE LEVIES ELECTION PRELIMINARY RESULTS SHOW 63.69 PERCENT APPROVAL VOTE
SKAGIT COUNTY The Concrete School District levy election went smoothly according to Skagit County Auditor Jeanne Youngquist. Preliminary results showed a 63.69 yes vote. I was very pleased with the performance of our Elections staff and our system operated flawlessly, said Youngquist.
The ballot issue, titled Proposition No. 1, Concrete School District Educational and Operation and Maintenance Levies, would authorize the levy of excess taxes for the Districts General Fund upon all taxable properties in the district, to address the educational needs of students, to replace the expiring levy, and to pay a portion of the Districts operation and maintenance expenses. The levy is for three years.
The reported results are not official until all valid ballots are certified by the canvassing board on Wednesday, February 21, said Elections Supervisor David Cunningham.
