Skagit Public Health COVID-19 test site no longer operating on Saturdays.
Today, Skagit Public Health announced that effective immediately, the drive through COVID-19 test site at the Fairgrounds will no longer be operating on Saturdays. This change comes as Public Health prepares to permanently close the test site after March 12, and is due to a lack of utilization at the site on Saturdays.
COVID-19 testing is available at other locations in the community. For a full list of testing providers visit: https://www.skagitcounty.net/Departments/HealthDiseases/coronavirusTESTsites.htm
“It’s really been an honor to serve the community with this site,” said Public Health Director Jennifer Johnson, “as we look at utilization and movement towards focusing on vaccine clinics, this is just the right decision at this time.”
The Public Health drive through test site will continue to operate on Tuesdays and Fridays from 10:00 a.m. -4:00 p.m. until March 12. No appointment is necessary.
