COMMISSIONERS HONOR STUDENTS DURING NATIONAL FFA WEEK

SKAGIT COUNTY - The Skagit County Board of Commissioners recently declared February 17-21, 2003 as National FFA Week in Skagit County, and presented certificates to representatives of the Burlington-Edison and Mount Vernon FFA chapters. In attendance from the Burlington-Edison Chapter were Joy Erlenbach, Melissa Cogdal, Becky Sawdye, and Angie Sawdye. Representing Mount Vernon were Michael Kannely, Megan Robblee, Brynne Kannely, Amy Morrison, and Amy Clark.

The Proclamation, signed by Skagit County Commissioners Ted Anderson, Ken Dahlstedt and Don Munks, recognized FFA and agricultural education for providing a strong foundation for the youth of American and the future of the food, fiber and natural resources systems.

“FFA ensures a study supply of young professionals to meet the growing demands in the science, business and technology of agriculture,” said Dahstedt.
