SPEED ZONE LENGTH REDUCED ON JOSH WILSON ROAD'S TEMPORARY SPEED REDUCTION.

Skagit County - Skagit County Public Works has shortened the length of the Josh Wilson Road temporary speed zone. A review of the roadway has determined that the speed zone restriction on the portion of Josh Wilson Road between Chuckanut Drive and Pulver Road can be lifted effective immediately.

The temporary 35-mph speed zone remains in effect for the portion of Josh Wilson Road between Pulver Road and Jensen Lane (bottom of hill) until further notice. This reduction is an effort to slow down and reduce the damage to the roadway due to the saturation of the soils and failing roadway base. Skagit County Public Works is working on a plan to repair and stabilize the roadway and apologizes for any inconvenience caused by the speed reduction.

We will continue to monitor the situation and will update the public with any changes and/or status of the roadway.
