SKAGIT COUNTY METHAMPHETAMINE SUMMIT SCHEDULED MARCH 26

SKAGIT COUNTY – The Skagit County Meth Action Team will present the first Skagit County Methamphetamine Summit on Wednesday, March 26, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Best Western CottonTree Inn, at 2401 Riverside Drive in Mount Vernon. There is no charge for this event, which includes a continental breakfast and lunch for participants.

The Methamphetamine Summit is sponsored by the Washington State Meth Initiative, Skagit County Sheriff Department, Skagit Prevention Council and the Washington State Division of Alcohol and Substance Abuse. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. Law enforcement training credits and continuing education clock hours will be available. Clock hours for educators will cost $21.

Participants will receive information on methamphetamine, its effects and impact to the community, families, neighborhoods, and children. In addition, information on cleanup, costs, recovery and treatment will also be available. Everyone is welcome, but space is limited. Please call 336-9309 to register. Spanish translation services are available onsite.
