PUBLIC INVOLVEMENT SOUGHT TO DISCUSS FUTURE OF SKAGIT COUNTY INDOOR RECREATION AND EVENT CENTER

Three meetings scheduled for each Commissioner district

SKAGIT COUNTY – The Skagit County Parks and Recreation Department has scheduled public meetings in each of the three Skagit County Commissioner Districts to discuss the future of the Skagit County Indoor Recreation and Event Center. Staff will be on hand to facilitate a public discussion to review the planning process and seek citizen input.

The meetings are scheduled at the following locations:

District 1, Anacortes, Wednesday, March 15, 2006 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Anacortes Council Chambers located at 904 6th Street.

District 2, Mount Vernon, Wednesday, March 22, 2006 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Skagit County Commissioners Hearing Room located at 1800 Continental Place.

District 3, Sedro-Woolley, Tuesday, March 28, 2006 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Sedro-Woolley Community Center located at 703 Pacific Street.

Skagit County Parks and Recreation staff will take information from this meeting to the Skagit County Board of Commissioners on Monday, April 10.
