COVID-19 Updates from Skagit County
Vaccine Availability at the Fairgrounds
Skagit County Public Health will now be providing vaccine appointment updates each Friday at 12:00 p.m. (noon) on our website: www.skagitcounty.net/COVIDvaccine. New appointments may be added throughout the week depending on availability.
Those who do not have internet access, do not speak English as a first language, or have otherwise struggled to access a vaccine clinic through the website are encouraged to call our Vaccine Hotline at (360) 416-1500. Both English and Spanish speaking call takers are available. The Hotline is operated 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Saturday.
Phase 1b-Tier 2 Now Eligible
Beginning today, March 17th, all Washingtonians eligible under Phase 1b-Tier 2 can now access a COVID-19 vaccine. Among those newly eligible includes workers in certain congregate settings will be eligible, as well as people age 16+ who are pregnant or who have a disability that puts them at higher risk.

Please keep in mind that demand for vaccine still far exceeds supply, and it will take several weeks for all newly eligible people to receive a vaccine.
Previous Phases Remain a Priority
If you or a loved one have been eligible for a vaccine under previous phases, please know that you are still a priority! Skagit County Public health is urging all people 65 and older to schedule a vaccine appointment. If you know someone who is currently eligible, please offer to assist them in scheduling an appointment! Appointments can be made online by visiting our website (www.skagitcounty.net/COVIDvaccine) or by calling the Vaccine Hotline at (360) 416-1500.
Vaccine Reminders
Skagit County Public Health wants to remind everyone to please keep your vaccine appointment! If you have received a vaccine from another provider or if you need to cancel your appointment with us for any reason, please call the Vaccine Hotline at (360) 416-1500. By doing so, you are ensuring that no doses are wasted!
It is also important to make getting your second dose a priority! We know that the vaccine is not fully effective until two weeks after completion of the last dose in the series (for Moderna and Pfizer, this would be the second dose; for Johnson & Johnson, people just need the one). Talk to your doctor if you have concerns about receiving the second dose, or if you experienced any side effects after your first that is causing you hesitation.
