March 24, 2003 COMMISSIONERS PROCLAIM MARCH 23-29, 2003 “ SUPPORT OUR TROOPS WEEK” IN SKAGIT COUNTY SKAGIT COUNTY – The Skagit County Board of Commissioners proclaimed March 23-29, 2003 as “Support Our Troops Week” in Skagit County by a unanimous vote at their regular board meeting on Monday, March 24, 2003. The resolution encouraged citizens of Skagit County to exercise a patriotic duty by acknowledging the fathers, mothers, sons and daughters of the county, and from every corner of the United States and allied nations, who heroically carry out the war on terrorism. “Our citizens and county employees are encouraged to show the community’s unwavering commitment to honor members of the Armed Forces for their courageous and patriotic duty in defending our country, its freedoms, and way of life,” said Skagit County Commissioner Ted Anderson.
