COVID-19 Updates from Skagit County
Phase 1b-Tiers 3 & 4 Update
Beginning on Wednesday, March 31st, all Washingtonians eligible under Phase 1b-Tiers 3 and 4 will be able to access a COVID-19 vaccine. These tiers include the following:
- People 16 years or older with 2 or more co-morbidities or underlying conditions
- All people 60 years and older
- People, staff, and volunteers in certain congregate living settings: correctional facilities; groups homes for people with disabilities; settings where people experiencing homelessness live or access services
- High-risk critical workers in certain congregate settings: restaurants, food services, construction, and manufacturing

Vaccine Availability at the Fairgrounds
Skagit County Public Health will continue to provide vaccine appointment updates on Fridays at 12:00 p.m. on our website: www.skagitcounty.net/COVIDvaccine. New appointments may be added throughout the week depending on availability.
If you need assistance scheduling an appointment, call our Vaccine Hotline at (360) 416-1500. Both English and Spanish speaking call takers are available. The Hotline is operated 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Saturday.
Please: No Pets at the Fairgrounds
Skagit County Public Health asks that people do not bring pets to the Fairgrounds. Service animals are permitted. This is to ensure the safety of our nursing staff and patients.
Roadmap to Recovery Updates
On March 11, 2021, Governor Inslee again changed the Healthy Washington-- Roadmap to Recovery plan. Changes included:
- Counties will now be evaluated individually instead of in a regional approach.
- A third phase of Roadmap was added, and all counties moved into Phase 3 on March 22.
- Only two metrics will be used to evaluate progress: case rate per 100k population over 14 days and COVID-19 hospital admission rate average over seven days.
- Evaluations will still happen automatically, but on Monday instead of Friday, with any forward or backward movement occurring on the following Friday.
