TIP TOE THROUGH THE TULIPS AT THE SKAGIT COUNTY FAIRGROUNDS
Tip toe through the tulips
at the Skagit County Fairgrounds. Over 2,000 tulips have been planted
to welcome you this Saturday and Sunday, April 2 and 3, at the Fairgrounds.
The Garage Sale, Auction and more will take place on Saturday, 8:00 a.m.
4:00 p.m. and Sunday 10:00 a.m. 4:00 p.m. Along with the 2,000 tulips
the fairgrounds will have over 200 vendors with everything from antiques to
new items to garage sale type items. Close to 20 food vendors will take care
of all your food needs while visiting the show. Music will fill the air
as the Salvation Army stage hosts bands, puppet show, face painting and more.
The Islanders from Seattle will play their toe tapping, upbeat, happy steel-drum
music.
All day Saturday there will be a silent auction in one of the horse barns.
The silent auction will continue on Sunday but a live auction will begin at
1:30 p.m. Gift baskets, an electric lawnmower, Loverboy Concert tickets,
art work, antique furniture pieces and much more will be auctioned off.
All items have been donated by the vendors with the proceeds going to the Skagit
County Fairgrounds. Larry Marty with Western Auction Company will do the honors
of auctioning the items while Don Wick of the Economic Development Association
will act as Master of Ceremonies. Many of the Fairgrounds Board of Directors
will be available to help with your auction items.
The entry fee of $1.00 will get you in both days. So plan your weekend
with many stops down at the Skagit County Fairgrounds to join in the party and
fun. For more information please call 360-336-9453.
