Restricted Hours Lifted on Used Oil and Antifreeze at Skagit County Transfer Station

The Skagit County Recycling and Transfer Station is once again able to accept used oil and antifreeze outside of the Household Hazardous Waste Facility’s operating hours. The Transfer Station, located at 14104 Ovenell Road in Mount Vernon, is open Monday through Sunday, from 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. This service is provided for free to all Skagit County residents.

The Household Hazardous Waste Facility, located at the Transfer Station, is open from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday and on the first Saturday of each month. Used oil and antifreeze is also accepted at the Clear Lake Recycling & Compactor Site and the Sauk Recycling & Transfer Station for no-cost disposal. Clear Lake is open Friday through Monday from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and Sauk is open Thursday through Sunday, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
