VICTIMS GATHER FOR NATIONAL CRIME VICTIMS RIGHTS WEEK

SKAGIT COUNTY - The week of April 11, 2005 has been designated as Nation Crime Victims’ Week. To commemorate this occasion, the Skagit County Prosecutor’s Office has organized a gathering of those who have been victims of crime, to recognize the importance of supporting victims’ rights in our justice system. The event is scheduled for Tuesday, April 12, 2005, at noon, in front of the Skagit County Courthouse in Mount Vernon.

“Any person who has been a victim of crime, or who has otherwise been affected by or struggled with the many issues that are associated with being a crime victim, are invited to attend,” said Skagit County Prosecuting Attorney Tom Seguine.

There will be a group photograph and a moment of silence observed for this cause.

The courthouse is located on Kincaid Street in Mount Vernon. The gathering will occur on the front steps facing south.
