SOUTH FIDALGO ISLAND MEETING SCHEDULED
Second event to set direction for future work, address non-drainage issues
SKAGIT COUNTY Skagit County announced today the third of several public meetings to develop a long-range plan for South Fidalgo Island. It is scheduled for Tuesday, April 17, 2007 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Lindgren Hall at the Walla Walla College Marine Station.
The meeting will present the Countys revised approach to complete the plan in response to comments and issues voiced at the previous public meeting, held February 8. The presentation will include details on how the County will conduct a thorough, two-stage evaluation of the islands soils and drainage capacity one of the primary hindrances to development there and will also identify planning issues that can be carried in advance of the drainage study, officials said.
Lindgren Hall is located at 15510 Rosario Beach Road, at the Walla Walla College Marine Center on South Fidalgo Island.
Extensive information, including meeting agendas, dates, documents and exercises will be posted on the project website at www.fidalgo.studiocascade.com. Residents are encouraged to contact County planner Jeroldine Hallberg for more information.
