SKAGIT COUNTY DISTRICT COURT RECOGNIZES EMPLOYEES FOR LONGEVITY
SKAGIT COUNTY - Skagit County District Court held its annual employee recognition ceremony yesterday. Each year we show our appreciation to the court employees who have reached their fifth year of employment with the County and continue to give special recognition for every 5 years completed, said District Court Judge David Svaren. We are fortunate to have employees who continue with the court system, providing the county and the citizens with years of experience.
This year, four employees reached their 15-year mark. Each employee received a crystal paperweight in recognition of their service.
Employees recognized were:
Deannie Nelson, Assistant Administrator.
Deannie started with the court system at Mount Vernon Municipal Court. She has
been with the District Court for 15 yrs. Recently, she was appointed to the
position of Asst. Administrator. She has worked in most areas of the court during
her tenure, and now has taken on a managerial position.
Barbara Del Bosque, clerk
Barbara started with the court system seven years ago, but has completed 15
years of employment with the county. She previously worked for the Skagit County
Auditor in the elections department. Barbara provides a valuable service to
the court by keeping our archives in order, and making sure things are always
filed correctly.
Marcella Sheridan,
clerk
Marcella has worked in several areas within the court, currently as an in-court
clerk and criminal case disposition clerk, a position that she handles extremely
well. She retains valuable information that she willingly shares with new staff,
which helps them acclimate quickly. In addition to her criminal case duties,
she also handles the restraining orders.
Rosie Gonzales, District
Court Probation
Rosie originally started with the court, working as a clerk and interpreter
for several years. She took a short leave of absence then started her tenure
with the probation department. She is the receptionist and interpreter of that
division, providing a valuable service to our defendants.
