WORLD'S LARGEST GARAGE SALE POSTS RECORD NUMBERS

SKAGIT COUNTY - The figures are in, and this year's World's Largest Garage Sale, sponsored by the Skagit County Fair, was bigger and better than ever. More than 15,000 bargain hunters converged on 125 vendors. Several non-profit organizations participated. The event was sponsored by the Little Nickel Want Ads.

This year's event was our biggest ever, said Skagit County Fair Coordinator Lori Anderson. The event was free to the public, but we generated close to $7,000 in entrance and parking fees.

The one-day event was held on Saturday, April 6, at the Skagit County Fairgrounds. The World's Largest Garage Sale II is scheduled for Saturday, June 15, 2002. For more information, contact Anderson at 336-9453.
