May 2, 2003 SKAGIT MARINE RESOURCES COMMITTEE TO MEET MAY 8 IN ANACORTES SKAGIT COUNTY – Skagit Marine Resources Committee will meet Thursday, May 8, 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the Anacortes Library, at 1290 9th Street in Anacortes. The group will hear reports on recent activities, including monitoring of the success of their Olympia Oyster planting, investigation of Fidalgo Bay outfalls, Derelict Gear Removal, as well as recent ROV surveys of bottom fish habitat. Interested citizens are welcome to attend. Dr. Sandy Wyllie-Echeverria will speak at 10:00 a.m. on her recently completed research project on Fidalgo Bay, “Historic Shoreline Change Analysis of Fidalgo Bay and Guemes Channel, The Value of a GIS Approach.” For more information, call Jeanne Robinette, chair, at 293-0248.
