NEW MEMBER SOUGHT FOR SKAGIT COUNTY AGRICULTURAL ADVISORY BOARD

SKAGIT COUNTY – Skagit County is seeking a member for the Agricultural Advisory Board to serve in an advisory role in making recommendations to the Board of Skagit County Commissioners regarding land use, planning, programs, and policy decisions relating to agriculture.

The Skagit County Agricultural Advisory Board represents the diversity of the agricultural economy, various agricultural operations and districts in Skagit County. It is a 12-member board with three year terms.

The board seeks a person with demonstrated knowledge, experience, and interest in one or more the following agricultural areas: soil and water conservation, farming practices, food and feed processing, wholesale and retail marketing, produce buying, direct marketing, supply, agricultural real estate/land appraisals, and finance. Citizens with demonstrated knowledge, experience, and interest in one for more of the preceding agricultural areas are encourage to submit a letter of interest along with a statement of qualifications by June 15, 2008, to:
