SKAGIT COUNTY - The Sedro-Woolley Licensing Sub-agency operated by the Sedro-Woolley Chamber of Commerce will re-open today, according to Skagit County Auditor Norma Brummett. Brummett had made the decision to close the sub-agency on April 3 as a result of accuracy issues in the office. The Sedro-Woolley Chamber of Commerce appealed the ruling to the Washington State Department of Licensing. The three-member appeals board agreed to allow Sedro-Woolley to reopen conditioned upon a 9-month probationary period. The office will be required to have three certified title clerks, and to achieve a 95% accuracy rate. "We apologize for the inconvenience to Sedro-Woolley residents during this process. Our goal is provide whatever assistance we can for the Sedro-Woolley Licensing Sub-Agency to reach and maintain their accuracy requirements during the probationary period," said Brummett.
