COUNTY SEEKS 200 PEOPLE FOR OPEN SPACE SURVEY
SKAGIT COUNTY - The Skagit Council of Governments and Skagit County are planning for open space, greenbelts, and trails for the next 20 years and want to find residents who are willing to share their opinions by taking part in a telephone survey. A random sample of households will be called starting Tuesday, May 29, inviting their participation. The goal is to finish the survey by mid-June.
Participants will be mailed a copy of the survey questions and the proposed plan prepared with the help of Beckwith Consulting of La Conner. The survey firm will follow up with those who volunteer to participate.
Results of the survey are important in determining how local governments should plan for open space in the next decades.
Questions may be directed to Jeroldine Hallberg, Skagit County Planning & Development Services, 360-336-9410, ext. 3175.
