SKAGIT COUNTY – In recognition of National Trails Day, Saturday, June 7, the Skagit County Parks and Recreation Department will be giving a guided hike at Howard Miller Steelhead Park in Rockport, beginning at 1:00 p.m. The hike will be guided by Jim Harris, a local historian, who will focus the hike on the natural and human history of the area. Participants are recommended to wear hiking shoes and dress for the weather. This hike will last approximately 45 minutes and participants must be able to walk 1.5 miles on flat ground.
