GET READY FOR THE FAIR!

Summertime is here. That means before we know it the Skagit County Fair will be in full swing. It is not too early to buy your wristbands or season passes. Early purchase of either one gives you great savings.

Our county fair represents our local resident’s exhibit of their hard work. Today people in our community are getting everything from cows to needlework to art ready for the fair. As people in our community plant their gardens they are dreaming of their bean or flower winning a blue ribbon at the fair. County fair premium books tell you all of the different departments available for entering items into the fair. These are available around the county and at the Skagit County Fair office.

Entertainment this year will feature The Coats, Stan Borenson, Justin James the Hypnotist, many local entertainers and much more. New for this year the fair will host the Sardis Raptor Center. With numerous raptors on display, birds rarely seen in the wild can be viewed without disturbing their wild cousins.

The fair runs August 10th – August 13th and all four days are filled with excitement from beginning to end. A fair season pass is the way to go so you can come and go as often as you want. Also, the carnival offers discounted wristbands for all day riding at one price. Both of these are available at the Skagit County Fair office.
