SKAGIT COUNTY SEEKS RETURN OF ARTIST’S PARK BENCH STOLEN FROM PONOMA GRANGE PARK

SKAGIT COUNTY – A beautiful sculptured wooden bench on loan from a local artist was stolen from Ponoma Grange Park over the weekend of June 3 and 4, 2006. If anyone knows the whereabouts of this bench please contact the Skagit County Sheriff’s Department.

The bench is part of the Skagit Parks Foundation “Art in the Parks” project, in partnership with “Skagit Artists Together” to provide a unique venue for the artist to display their work and bring beauty and utility to our parks,” said Skagit County Parks and Recreation Director Bob Vaux. “It’s unfortunate that someone felt compelled to remove this beautiful piece of art.”
