SKAGIT FARMERS SUPPLY CONTRIBUTES $5,000 TO SKAGIT COUNTY FAIR
SKAGIT COUNTY The Skagit County Fairgrounds has received a huge outpouring of community support for sprucing up the fairgrounds as preparations are made for the 2004 fair, according to Manager Audrey Smith. Community sponsors have contributed more than $10,000 to the Fairgrounds. After taking a tour of the facility last month, Ken Kadlec, manager for Skagit Farmer Supply presented a check of $5,000.
We would like to thank Skagit Farmer Supply for their generous sponsorship, said Smith. These dollars have allowed us to repair, fix and paint several of the buildings on the fairgrounds.
The fair has started a new program, Adopt a Building. The Skagit Valley Herald and Munks Farm have come forward to participate in this program. By adopting a building, repairs can be made to keep buildings solid for many years to come. We appreciate the great support from these folks and we have several more buildings in need of adoption. said Smith.
Other sponsors include Goodyear Nelson Hardwood Lumber Co. Mount Baker Products, Inc., Swinomish Northern Lights Casino, Dakota Creek Industries, Inc., Anita Klein, Boyd Si Morris, Concrete NorWest, International Aero, Skagit State Bank, All West/Select Sires, Skagit Speeedway, Nordic Tugs, Inc., Kern Funeral Home/Mount Vernon Cemetery, Piazza Construction, Dri-Eaz, Thrifty Foods/Food Pavilion/Cost Cutter and Pamela Boles/Ravens Crest Rotweillers.
The Skagit County Fair is scheduled for August 11-14, 2004 from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily. Season passes are available for $20.00 for adults, $15 for students, and $15.00 for seniors.
